Our Story

Welcome to Home Ranch Cattle Co., a family-owned ranch on 120 acres just outside Rifle, Colorado. Founded in 2021, our ranch is built on love for livestock, the Western lifestyle, and the joy of raising animals that can be part of the family for years to come.

Both of us grew up on commercial cattle ranches in Collbran, Colorado, where we learned the value of hard work, good genetics, and caring for the land. Today, we are raising our four daughters in that same tradition with a focus on miniature livestock that bring just as much heart as they do heritage.

What we Raise

At Home ranch, we raise:

• Miniature Highland and Highpark Cattle: Small in size, full of personality, and bred for soundness and temperament.

• Mini Donkeys: Gentle companions and excellent pasture guardians.

• Boer Goats: raised with the same care and attention as our cattle and donkeys.

• Performance Horses: used by our girls in rodeo, gymkhana, and ranch work.

Our goal is to offer livestock that are not only high quality but also enjoyable to work with, love and keep on the ranch long term.

How We Raise Them

We believe animals should be raised with time, attention, and care. That is why our calves and foals are:

• Mama Raised and allowed to grow naturally.

• Weaned around 4-6 months old, ensuring a healthy start.

• Halter trained and desensitized before leaving our ranch, so they are easier to handle and ready for new homes.

• Vaccinated and well cared for, with a focus on overall health and soundness.

This process creates livestock that are calm, friendly, and ready to succeed whether you are looking for a show prospect, breeding animal, or pasture companion.

Our Family

Home Ranch Cattle Co. is more than a ranch; it is a family endeavor. With four daughters actively involved in the day-to-day care of our animals, this lifestyle teaches responsibility, grit, and gratitude. From 4-H projects to rodeo events, our kids are growing up learning the value of agriculture and carrying on traditions that have been in our families for generations.
